Transcendence references transhumanism, shedding the vehicle of humanity, and becoming something new through the usage of technology. It's an unrelenting growth mindset, an accelerationist perspective on what it means to be human, what nature is, and "the transformative potential of the engineered self" in a gnostic mystic sense.
This is one artwork in a series of sculptures based on fire extinguisher safety inspection hang tags. Symbolically these safety tags represent a trusted authority has verified that an object has some ability to defend oneself in an emergency.
