Can one have a spiritual experience within a software environment? This live manipulation of a video feed presents the world back to the viewer in a rotationally symmetric pattern and produces inherently aesthetically pleasing imagery from even the most mundane subject matter.
Eight fold rotational symmetry presents itself in nature:
- dna viewed from above
- the hypercube
- hypercube lattice and quasicrystals
These all exhibit eight fold rotational symmetry. The underlying hypercube structure becomes more evident when the software is in motion. I'm also interested in the relationship between this eight fold visualization, the eight fold symmetry in the four dimensional hypercube, and the eight fold path of buddhism
